In a previous article, I discussed about creating your own materials for teaching. In this article I will explain the reasons that I think the creation of your own material to be useful.

Repetitive manual

I feel most of the textbooks that were written rehash stuff again and again. Usually the only things that change the beautiful pictures and the multi-ROM. Create your own material is worthwhile for you and your students.

You know your classroom

The main reason I believe that the creation of your own material is interesting that more than anyone knows what your class ticks. You know what students respond to what they enjoy, what stimulates their mind. That makes you the authority to decide what material to use. No, it seems logical to think that if you know what equipment is best for your students, you should give them.

Relevant elements

One advantage you will have textbooks, is that you know what students are interested, you can create materials that reflect their neighborhood or community, people they know, or local news is that while .. You will automatically earn the interest of the students when the park with swings rusty butcher or Mr. James, or call to ask students their views on the price of sausages in the cafeteria of the school to. The manuals will try to do that, but he always looks almost generic.

Imagine a short consultation is based around an interview you have with a local policeman. You will get an attentive audience in the class immediately.

Essential elements

Remember to make sure that your hardware is based
* Form
* Function
* Practice
* Application
* Writing
* Self-Test

In future articles I will address each of these points.

People who use new teaching and learning materials in the form of interactive white boards have recognized the benefits and uses. You now know the importance of digital technologies with which they can optimize their lessons and present it allows the students. People who think still send through the use of this resource and a tool, if you or you miss all the fun and excitement like.

The advantage of the IWB makes work easy and teachers keep students happy. The IWB can be compiled with the programs and software. Different types of drawing tools available can be easily drawn on the tablet. The IWB has replaced the traditional board in all aspects with additional features in it. These features help students understand and complete their individual work without depending on that from anyone. Teachers and students can design their own plans with the interactive whiteboard, but there are many loans available resources online. These can be downloaded and printed, or can be used directly from the Internet. Teachers can also have a copy, then make the necessary changes and adjust the presentation or teaching.

Various types of games and activities can be integrated teaching and learning tools in studies with IWB. Teachers can even take quizzes and their assessments of resources. Includes fun in the classroom will allow teachers to maintain class control and students engaged. The use of all features justify the use of correct and complete IWB. Teachers should thus always all instruments provided by the IWB teaching materials to supplement their lessons interactive.

Because the work of a teacher in special education requires more than just teaching, administrators are for candidates who are looking for experts in the field. If you do you hope as Special Ed teachers are hired, you must need an expert in the art of adaptation of teaching, a strong supporter of the student, a professional writer IEP, a mine, information about disabilities for students, and a special person 100% committed to do everything possible to help all students reach their full potential has occurred.

As with any maintenance training, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the possible questions in advance. For the interview questions will sound familiar, then you are more comfortable to respond. They are a series of general educational issues and topics that specifically asked to Special Ed.

Here are some ideas how for special issues, which are made must be prepared.

1st Be willing to understand and respond to all technical jargon, abbreviations and specific requirements of special education. You should know exactly how an IEP and / or CSE meeting is held. You need to talk and act as if you are very familiar with IEP meetings, meetings of the CSE, have child study committee meetings and other special needs school. Understand how the environment less restrictive. Know what services and support the school and can not offer.
2nd Make sure you understand and are able to speak on a wide range of disabilities. even with Asperger / Autism, ADHD, mood disorders, delays in processing, speech disorders, learning disabilities, physical, and all the other children of the disability may be classified in the district.
3rd Emphasize your ability to work with colleagues. Special teachers are usually required to work closely with and / or team teach with teachers of regular education. They are also regular meetings with the directors of special education, social worker or supervisor, PT / OT teachers and teacher resource. There are a lot of teamwork involved in specialized training for children with special needs. You must understand your role in as an advocate for each of your students and meet their social and academic needs.
4th Know how to use support staff. Often students have special education teacher assistant or assistants. Be sure you know how to use support staff in a professional manner to benefit the students. You do not want the child to rely on help from a teacher to simple tasks that he can / get them to perform. On the other hand, you want to be sure that the student receives the full support he needs.
5th Make sure an expert in the differentiation. Although all teachers should vary their teaching to the needs of their students, teachers of special education should be to meeting all confidence in their ability to adapt to teaching the individual needs of their students. You can not teach a concept and expect every child to do the same work in the same way. You must register for the training it is so that all can learn your students, presented to individualize. You will not be able to write, the school curriculum or teaching materials and use them as is. You have to prove that you are your resources to adapt to the learning needs of your students needs.

Final thoughts: To succeed in an interview with special needs, you must be able to Talk Talk to understand how an advocate for students with special needs, understand the responsibilities associated with the employment and the associated ready to go on the unique needs of students classified requirements.

In the classroom it is important to bring the students attention and listening. One way that I found effective is to ask students, easy to create fun crafts. Children of all ages love to create things. Explain how a building is to build an enjoyable experience and students need to learn to listen carefully to how you do it right. Make sure you speak slowly and clearly. The children used to listen in another language takes a few extra milliseconds for the brain to process new information is available in English.

One of the trades that I use is very easy to make and can be adapted to most age groups. It is for each student with a mobile straws, yarn and paper to create drawings. Since boys and girls have different interests, sometimes I have different themes – dragons and superheroes for boys, princesses and dolls for girls. If you have a small class, you might even be able to offer students the choice of subject. There are many possible topics … print, cars, airplanes, birds, flowers, monsters, images of friends, family pictures, dogs, cats, dinosaurs, Disney characters, etc. Each dictionary will provide images of many ideas.

As the scissors are involved in the creation of this business, you need common sense, whether the age of your students can use their scissors in a responsible way to use. I always remind students that the scissors are dangerous and should never be shaken by or against anyone. In any case, the children may be executed in the hand with scissors. Scissors for children are rounded for safety. Nevertheless, we must examine carefully and continuously, because the children will be children.

Materials needed:

1st Two regular servings for each student. You can buy these in packages of 100 in most supermarkets.
2nd Son cut in two different lengths – for example, 6 “and 9″. Two of each per student. Black is a good choice.
3rd Crayons.
4th * A sheet of paper on which several designs were printed on both sides black and white. The drawings must be aligned symmetrically on both sides. It can be difficult to do. Or … You can each child two sheets stuck together and they can – then the color and cut.

Another way is to configure the mirror to make the two images on one page of the paper. You can do this in Adobe Photoshop or MS Word. Here is how to do this easily in MS Word:

a) to insert a new blank document, a picture that you want to use.

b) Place the right side in the image of the first. have the same size.

c) Click the first image.

d) Click on Copy (or right-click on the Edit menu or above)

e) On the drawing * * Draw menu (click probably at the bottom of the screen). A menu will appear. An election is “Rotate or Flip.

f) Click on “Flip Horizontal”.

g) You should now see the images mirrored on the sheet.

h) Repeat the process for building the future you want to use.

i) When the children to cut the designs, they have to fold only color images, then they they are back to back.

* I suggest printing on card designs with light instead of normal paper. It will blow the mobile better together.

* * If the Drawing toolbar is not visible, click the main menu, then Toolbars, then check (?) the drawing. This should be the Drawing toolbar on the screen to open.

Procedure:

1st Children of color drawings before cutting.
2nd Say we are dragons. Once again he painted on the back of the four dragons were cut and help you need, children make a hole in the head (center) of each dragon it crashes right when it was suspended.
3rd The hole should be large enough for wire to pass through, when something as simple as a ballpoint pen has a hole in the paper press ..
4th One end of the wire is attached to each dragon, and the other end is connected to a similar hole in each end of the straw.
5th The different lengths of the wire up so that you can hang the drawings on different levels – a pleasant mentioned.
6th I usually base the straw so that they are in the form of an “X” – and you have four ends hanging from those of your dragon.
7th Now you still have a piece of wire in the middle of the range of the “X” so that you mobile from a lamp, ceiling, beams, or what is hanging.
8th To add another dimension, you can hang suspended from the middle fifth of the mobile … the ‘X’.

So, where the English come, you ask? Well, you will no doubt explain the students what they will do that day to show them and then how to move step by step to do in English and the children listened. You can test their knowledge on the phone. What are they? Has anyone seen? Does anyone have one? Do they remember the one with their babies hanging over their beds? What were they made?

Encourage them to talk to their classmates on their mobile phones in English, and his questions in English. You can help them train their questions …

“Master, how can I fix this?

“Miss ____, where I do the hole?”

“Mr._____, it looks okay?”

If mobile phones are completely assembled, each student receives a mobile creative they made themselves and that they can talk and show pride for their families. Each student can be encouraged to describe their mobile to their classmates. You do not even realize that they learn English while having fun and that is what it is!

The qualification of teachers is an important issue. closure of schools can do to get rid of poor teachers of the scene. But you know the word to throw out the baby with the bathwater. This is what happens here. If the teacher is not a good performance, it is the responsibility of the customer to resolve the problem. If the client is not up to their responsibilities, then the local education authority or the highest level of management and dealing with this important step. But this is not the case, because our schools are not in very bad condition, if everyone in possession of their responsibility. The kite went up, down and sideways. The costs presented here can in view of the failures of the students and are not made in the payment for the services measured.

To digress a bit here in Chicago public schools managed by local education authorities. Each school has one. The school board members are residents of a neighborhood that provide for election and be elected. They represent the main and responsibilities have on the budget. There are several levels of management in the school system here. This form of control is a little new school. The Chicago School Reform Act was enacted in law in 1988, and the first local school boards were elected a year later.

What is the teacher who is competent and does his best to teach his students? If right to judge by their constituents, this would not be a moot point. Student achievement and performance concerns. To be fair to all teachers who are all facets of learning is not controlled by the teacher. Home life of students and faculties are not under the control of the teacher. The socio-economic life of the child at home is a big factor in determining student success. Parents, a better education can certainly do more to ensure their child’s success in school than parents with less education. innate abilities of the child must be taken into account. All children learn at different paces. But the amount of homework a teacher can help children’s progress. The mediation is a good starting point to learn from the children is necessary. To promote and encourage, to ensure a climate that learning can take place is essential. The teacher must have a good understanding of issues and presentation skills necessary to teach the lessons. For someone who is competent to the task of training students to make best efforts to complete and was to do with the skills should not be refused if a school is closed.

Even for the best education can be a complex process. When children misbehave badly, it can be difficult. Teachers have to deal more easily today with the successful students. The support of their executives and directors should be presented to assist in the learning process. You need not be intimidated or be put to forced labor.
